Altered Books

 

As well as a performer and photographer Shawna is an artist with many mixed mediums including the creation of Altered books. Altered book making varies by artist, but it is basically taking a old book and sculpting it, repurposing it, into a piece of art. Shawna uses books that have been discarded or are out of date as to respect the creation of the writers. 

 

Commissions are taken and available. Below are some examples of the books already completed. Rates vary by complexity.
